John purchased his first property in Arlington in 1992 and then his first investment property in the Lake Como area of Fort Worth in 1996. Since 2014, John has sold and attended closings for over 550 homes and collectively well over 1,000. The “10 Year” rule states that it takes about a decade of deliberate practice and experience to reach excellence. John snacks on Excellence all day long.

His prior roles have included Mortgage Loan Officer and Community Development Officer for Wells Fargo. VP Bank Manager and Loan Officer at Bank of America, Performance Marketing Manager at Yahoo! and Matchmaker.com, Management career for Hilton Corp, and On-Air Talent for KZFM, KEYS, and KIKN Radio in Corpus Christi, Texas in his earliest years.

The youngest of 11 children, raised by his single mom (Sara S. Peña). She taught him how to be loving, kind, and always respectful. High morals and integrity were always in the conversation.
